When a new year starts we all set goals to achieve for the next. As a growing business this is key.
For 2017 our main goal as a studio was to get a little face-to-face time with potential clients. While Bridal shows are not cheap ( especially for a smaller business) even after the first 30 minutes we knew it was worth it. Thanks to Amy at Berts Bakery here in town we had a great location on the edge of the ice right next to an entry point. My team killed it getting new clients right from the get go. Not to mention all the cool items we had on display.
We had a raffle that included two different sets of bathroom baskets for brides to set out for their guests as well as tow bird cage card boxes! We loved our selfie give-away where you paired up with one of our "party crashers" for a selfie and got a free recovery bag. You know.. for those hard days after the party...
It was so exciting talking to soo many new people and explaining to them what we do, Assuring them that there was someone out there who understood the stress and the amount of work this part of the big day can be and that there was someone out there who they could pay to do that. PLAIN and SIMPLE a place that was crazy enough....YES crazy...
This show was really a test for us. Is it worth paying to do a one day event and see potential clients face to face or should we invest in more digital or online publicity. Do not get me wrong everything is done on the computer these days; but, call me an old soul the in person conversation created more of an experience not just for our clients but for us as well.
We will be back to Wings Stadium next year. and hopefully many more after that.
